System Requirements

Ensuring that system's hardware and software configurations confirm to the minimum requirements, as required by Patch Connect Plus is a critical step while installing the product. Hence we strongly suggest going through this entire document to completely understand the pre-requisites. Once the system requirements are confirmed and the required browsers are installed, we'll guide you through the different specifications required for SCCM installation. The minimum system requirements for SCCM includes:

    Hardware Requirements

    The minimum hardware requirements for Patch Connect Plus installation machine includes the following:

    • Processor Information : Intel Core i3 (2 core/4 thread) 2.0 GHz 3 MB cache
    • RAM Size : 2 GB
    • Hard Disk Space : 10 GB
    • System version : only 64-bit machines

    Supported Browsers

    You are required to install any of the following browsers on your computer to access Patch Connect Plus console:

    • Mozilla Firefox 44 and later versions
    • Google Chrome 47 and later versions

    Software Requirements

    Patch Connect Plus can be installed on the machine with the following software requirement:

    • It can be installed on the machine where WSUS server is installed or the machine should contain WSUS admin console which is compatible with the primary WSUS server version and Operating System.
    • Supported versions: SCCM 2012, SCCM 2012 R2, SCCM 2016, SCCM 1702, and all later versions of SCCM.

    User role pre-requisites

    Note: If Patch Connect Plus is installed on a remote WSUS machine, the WSUS user should have Read/Write permission for the following folders:
    - <PCP Installed Directory>\Manageengine\
    - \\<PrimaryWSUSServer>\c$\Windows\temp\

    The below pre-requisites defines the user roles required to use PCP:

    • WSUS : The account user should be a member of WSUS Administrators group of both WSUS console and Server machines.
    • SCCM : The account user should be a member of SMS Admins group.
    • SCCM SQL DB : The account user should have SELECT permissions of SCCM database.

    Supported Operating Systems

    Patch connect Plus can be installed on the machines with the following operating system,
