Important:
  • We strongly recommend you take backups before applying the service pack. This helps prevent accidental loss of data.

Instructions to apply Service Pack

  • 1Shut down M365 Security Plus:
    • If the product runs as an application, click Start > All Programs > M365 Security Plus > Stop M365 Security Plus.
    • If the product runs as a Windows service, click Start > Run. Type services.msc and stop ManageEngine M365 Security Plus.
  • 2Execute the stopDB.bat file stored in the <M365 Security Plus>\bin directory.
  • 3Back up M365 Security Plus by zipping the contents of the <M365 Security Plus> directory.
  • 4If you're using Microsoft SQL Server, take a backup of the database, too.
  • 5Open the Command Prompt as an administrator and execute the UpdateManager.bat file stored in the <M365 Security Plus>\bin directory./li>
  • 6Click Browse and select the PPM file (service pack file) that you downloaded.
  • 7Click Install. Depending on the amount of data to be migrated, the installation procedure may take a few minutes. Please do not terminate the process prematurely. The certificate required to verify the service pack's integrity will be automatically imported by the Update Manager.
  • 8If the automatic certificate import process fails, please import the certificate manually. Otherwise, click Close and then Exit to quit the Update Manager tool.
  • 9Start M365 Security Plus:
    • If the product runs as an application, click Start > All Programs > M365 Security Plus > Start M365 Security Plus.
    • If the product runs as a Windows service, click Start > Run. Type services.msc and start ManageEngine M365 Security Plus.

Steps to manually import the security certificate

  • 1Download the certificate by clicking on this link.
  • 2Once download, click on Import Certificate in the UpdateManager to open the Import Certificate wizard.

  • 3Now, click Browse and select the downloaded certificate file.

  • 5Once imported, click Browse and select the downloaded .ppm file.

  • 6Click Install. Depending on the amount of data to be migrated, the installation procedure may take a few minutes. Please do not terminate prematurely.
  • 7Once the installation is complete, click Close.
  • 8Click Exit to quit Update Manager tool.
  • 9Now, start M365 Security Plus to use the updated build.
Note:
  • If you need to apply more than one service pack, follow the same instructions for each installation.

How do I find my current build number?

  • Log in to the M365 Security Plus web client.
  • Click on the License link at the top right corner.
  • Find the Build number.
