AD360 service pack installation

Instructions for applying the service pack:

Follow steps 1 through 9 to apply the service pack.

• 1Shut down AD360.
  • If the product runs as an application, click Start → All Programs → AD360 → Stop AD360.
  • If the product runs as a Windows service, right-click Start and click Run. Type services.msc in the box provided. From the list that appears, find and stop ManageEngine AD360.
• 2Navigate to →AD360>\bin, where →AD360> is the location where the product is installed. Execute the stopDB.bat file.
• 3If you have configured an external database server (MS SQL or PostgreSQL) in AD360, back up the external database.
• 4If you have enabled High Availability, follow the steps listed here. If not, proceed with Step 5.
• 5Back up AD360 by zipping the contents of the →AD360> directory.
• 6Run Command Prompt as an administrator and navigate to →AD360>\bin. Execute the UpdateManager.bat file.
• 7Click Browse and select the PPM file you have downloaded.
• 8Click Install. Depending on the amount of data to be migrated, the installation procedure might take a few minutes. Please do not terminate the process prematurely. During this step, the certificate that verifies the service pack's integrity is automatically imported by the Update Manager tool.
• 9If the automatic certificate import fails, please import the certificate manually by following the steps listed here. Otherwise, click Close and then Exit to quit the Update Manager tool.
• 10Start AD360.
  • If the product runs as an application, click Start → All Programs → AD360 → Start AD360.
  • If the product runs as a Windows service, right-click Start and click Run. Type services.msc in the box provided. From the list that appears, find and start ManageEngine AD360.

If you have enabled high availability:

• 1Shut down both the primary and standby servers.
• 2Follow Steps 5 through 9 above and apply the service pack on the primary server. After the process is complete, perform the same steps on the standby server.
• 3Start the primary server first and then the standby server.

Steps for manually importing the security certificate:

• 1Download the certificate by clicking this link.
• 2Once downloaded, click Import Certificate in the Update Manager tool to open the Import Certificate wizard.

  

• 3Click Browse and select the downloaded certificate file.

  

• 4Click Import.

  

• 5Once imported, click Browse and select the downloaded PPM file.
• 6Click Install. Depending on the amount of data to be migrated, the installation procedure might take a few minutes. Please do not terminate the process prematurely.

  

• 7Once the installation is complete, click Close and then Exit to quit the Update Manager tool.
• 8Start AD360.

How do I find my current build number?

• 1Log in to the AD360 web client.
• 2Click License in the top-right corner.
• 3The build number can be found on the pop-up that appears.
